Lehigh Valley Photographer | Meghan's Portrait Session
I'm going to go out on a limb and give my unpopular opinion. Ready for this? Here goes; I, being a girl, did NOT grow up in the Lehigh Valley loving horses. They always intimidated me because of how large they were, and like any animal, no matter how tame or trained they may be, they still have an underlying animal instinct to behave the way they want to, and that was always such a scary concept for me to grasp. When I was younger my grandfather bred horses, and my sister and I learned to ride and tried to gain the horse obsession long ago. I remember falling off horses much more than I remember actually riding them, so who knows, maybe I have this underlying bitterness because I never really learned to "get back on" after each failure!
Meghan had a much different experience growing up with horses - this is evident in every move she makes while handling them. Meghan is all of five-feet some-odd-inches tall, yet she confidently exhibits this natural control and authority, especially with her best bud, Leo! Meghan makes it a point to take photos with Leo every year, and I think that's just incredibly adorable. We take photos with our family members, even our pets, so why not photograph our other four-legged barn friends? My photographer heart sang when I edited these images. I mean, come on - just LOOK at that lighting! Meghan and Leo looked like something out of a movie. The weather was oddly warm for October, and golden hour couldn't have been more perfect.
